Leica Camera will launch a very limited edition of the LEICA M8.2 Safari Edition. This very special edition will consists of the following products:

The LEICA M8.2 Safari Edition is only available as part of a set and cannot be purchased separately.
The LEICA M8.2 Safari Edition is aimed at photographers and enthusiasts who would like to distinguish themselves with unique yet classic products. The olive green paint is similar to the paint used for the cameras supplied to the German Army in the 1960s and the LEICA R3 Safari. Both these products are now collector’s items and fetch a very high price.
The Camera: LEICA M8.2 Safari
The top cover, bottom plate, camera back and the leatherett covering VULKANIT are coated with a resistant olive green paint finish, which provides a pleasant touch and grip. The top cover is engraved with the traditional Leica script. All operation elements are in silver chrome finish. The technical specification as well as the delivery scope are identical to the serial LEICA M8.2.
The Lens: LEICA Elmarit-M 28mm/f2.8 ASPH, silver anodized finish
This exclusive silver anodized finish lens is light because the aluminium parts are anodized in silver. The lens comes with a silver anodized finish lens hood.
The Bag: Billingham Combination Bag M Safari
This matchin bag in olive green with tan colored top-gran leather trim is made by the English specialist exclusively for Leica. The bag is made of the water resistant fabric, FiberNyte. The bag will hold all the items of the Safari set plus additional lenses and accessories. The bag comes with adjustable closed-cell foam inserts which keeps the camera and lenses protected and separated from each other.
The Carrying Strap: Genuine leather with Leica embossing
The top side of this elegant carrying strap is made of tan-colored calfskin while the inner side is made of anti-slip pigskin. The quality of the strap is evident in the meticulous hemlines of the strap. The Leica logo is embossed in the middle of the strap.
