Projectors have been an integral part of Leica’s product range since 1926. The LEICA PRADOVID D-1200 is not
only for photographers and speakers who present multimedia shows, but also for home theatres, creative
presentations, schools and institutions where the precision and optical quality of Leica projectors and their lenses
are appreciated.
The smallest and lightest digital projector in its class for photorealistic reproduction
The LEICA PRADOVIT D-1200 is the first digital Leica projector for high-end applications, a high performer in an elegant body of high quality magnesium. This magnesium housing leads the projector to perfect stability and very good heat transmission. With its extra compact size and weight of 7.5 lbs, it is the world’s smallest and lightest projector in its class.
Highest resolution and photorealistic projection with special color wheel
Integrating D(igital)L(ight)P(rocessing) Display technology from Texas Instruments, the LEICA PRADOVIT D-1200 has optimally matched color management for photorealistic image reproduction in 16:10 format. This reflecting single chip technology enables an actual resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which is also known as WUXGA. Therefore, a playback in full HD is possible.
Based on a new special RGB- color wheel, Leica is able reduce the so called rainbow effect dramatically while maintaining the best color reproduction.
At the photorealistic setting, the contrast ratio is more than 2500:1 with a brightness that produces stunning photo realistic image quality.
Newest lamp technology and low noise
The LEICA PRADOVIT D-1200 is equipped with the latest lamp technology. The 220W FusionPlus VIDI UHP lamp from Philips has a working life of approx. 3000 hours in standard mode and about 2000 hours in high-power mode. The pleasantly quiet operating noise is less than 28 dB, ensuring a restful evening of projection.
High speed Leica vario lens
The LEICA VARIO-ELMARIT-P f/2.8-3.1/33-42 mm/59 mm-74 mm (equiv.)/t.r. 1.6-2.0:1 high speed lens of the LEICA PRADOVIT D-1200 ensures superb brightness and contrast. The aspherical lens elements and proprietary LD (Low Dispersion) glass provides the excellent ability to resolve the finer detail of 1080p resolution. The optics can be used in a large projection range from 3.3 ft – 49 ft, which is equivalent to a screen approx. 1.6 ft – 23 ft wide. The projected image can therefore be optimally adapted to many different types of rooms.
Comfortable and easy to use
The special remote control allows the customer to control the projector in a simple and quick fashion. The clear menu has the same appearance as the one used in the new digital Leica cameras. Learning the features is a quick and easy process.
Various connecting options for better flexibility
The Pradovit D-1200 offers various options for connecting playback devices. A component input port, provides HDMI1.3 and DVI digital interfaces for linking a computer, laptop, DVD, Blu-ray or HD-DVD player, HD camcorder or HDTV receiver. In addition to the customary composite and S video interfaces, there are also ports for LAN and VGA cables.
High-end processors from Crestron and PixelWorks, the leading companies in this business, provide the perfect signal processing.
Robust, reliable and 3 yeas warranty
Based on the robust metal housing and the very reliable technology, Leica offers a 3 year warranty.
